PAN Card of the Business or Applicant

GSTIN is directly linked to the PAN of the business. Thus, PAN is an essential requirement to obtain a GST certificate.

Individual Address Proof

Identity proof/address proof documents such as passport, driving license, Aadhaar card, or voters identity card must be presented for all the promoters.

Business Registration Document

A business registration proof such as incorporation/registration certificate or partnership deed is required for all kinds of registered entities.

Address Proof for Place of Business

Documents like rental agreement/sale deed coupled with copies of the latest property tax receipt or municipal maintenance receipt must be submitted as per the address quoted in the GST application.

Bank Account Proof

A scanned copy of the first page of the bank passbook showing records of transactions along with the address of the business must be provided against the bank account mentioned in the registration application.

Digital Signature

Class 2/Class 3 digital signature is admissible for the signature of the authorized signatory to sign and submit the GST application. In the case of proprietorship, the digital signature is not needed.
